Exciting Times at School

St Augustine’s Priory is an all-through school and, where the journey ends at A Levels, with our girls leaving the school for further adventures at university, the journey has to begin somewhere, and that is where the Nursery comes in, the beginning of the children’s educational journey.

Nursery is a time of wonder and discovery and, with our grounds and facilities including the Priory Farm, the orchard and classroom resources to delight any child – and not forgetting our dedicated Nursery teachers – children in our Nursery can be assured of a learning environment that cares for and provides wonderful opportunities for all.

Miss Honeyman, Nursery Teacher, here reports on the latest from the Nursery, where the new term brought a whole new school life for the Nursery inhabitants!

‘What a busy few weeks Nursery has had! We have spent these past few weeks getting to know each other, making new friends and, of course, exploring the school grounds.

The children’s favourite activities so far include autumnal walks in the school orchard, painting our feet, parachute games in the meadow and playing in the sandpit in the Nursery’s fantastic outdoor garden.

I am delighted the children have all settled into life at St Augustine’s Priory Nursery so well and quickly. We now look forward to all the exciting things we have planned for the rest of the Michaelmas term!’
