Priory 6: A glimpse at Chemistry

Posted: 25th January 2019

Learning in our laboratories.

At St Augustine’s Priory we are privileged to have access to excellent facilities for pursuing science throughout the school. We have four purpose-built laboratories and science is taught right from the Preps where children begin to learn how to understand the world around them.  By the time girls reach the Sixth Form they are well equipped to study the three sciences at A Level: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

In 2018, 100% of GCSE results in Biology and Chemistry were A*/A and 95% of Physics grades were A*/A with a 100% pass rate across all three disciplines at A Level.

Here our Priory 6 chemists are seen running some experiments under the guidance of Chemistry teacher, Mr Stylianou, valuable hands-on work.
