The Primary Maths Challenge.

Mrs Cattigan reports that our Upper II Mathematicians have achieved wonderful results in the Primary Mathematics Challenge.

‘Girls in Upper II took part in the Primary Maths Challenge which is an annual competition aimed at children in Junior schools across the country. This year we have awarded certificates within each year group to the girls who achieved the highest marks. In Upper II, 13 girls were awarded certificates. We would like to congratulate Rin, Sachika and Sayo in Upper II who were awarded ‘Gold’ Certificates and achieved the highest marks in the school. Special congratulations to Rin who achieved the highest mark overall! Well done to all the girls who took part and rose to the challenge; they were bold and courageous in their approach to give it a go.’

The Upper II certificates went to:

Gold: Rin, Sachika and Sayo.

Silver: Sophia, Sarah, Matilda and Tara.

Bronze: Rose, Hannah, Enya, Arabella, Sophie and Nancy.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
