Last night, Thursday 6th July, saw our first concert to take place in the newly refurbished hall and also the last concert of this academic year. The music played harked back to yesteryear as perennial favourites were performed.
Hits from Queen, The Beatles and Abba filled the hall (and grounds around it) as the school’s musical talent performed for parents, staff and girls.
Playing were the Junior and Senior Choir, Orchestra and String Ensembles and the Percussionists, Flute and Wind Ensembles.
Dr Higgins, Director of Music, enthused “It was a fantastic way to round off the year; the girls were professional and displayed a high level of ensemble skills”. Our music teachers put together a mellifluous programme of classic pop hits, the set list was as follows:
Congratulations to all our musicians – what an entertaining way to round off the school year.
