Resting in balance

11th September 2020

‘For Equilibrium’. We would like to share with you the following words, an oasis of grace in these turbulent days.  It is from John O’Donohue’s inspirational book,  ‘Benedictus, A Book of Blessings’ and is entitled ‘For Equilibrium’.  Like the joy of the sea coming home to shore, May the relief of laughter rinse through your…

Blended learning

10th July 2020

Visionary education. St Augustine’s Priory has embraced blended learning with a creative drive during these ‘new normal’ times.  Since the beginning of lockdown, classes have continued in all subjects even though pupils and teachers have been absent from school and, now that some classes have returned to school, blended learning continues. Learning has not stopped,…

Making Music. Lockdown has not prevented the St Augustine’s Priory musicians from making music.  Individual lessons and ensemble work have continued and our Summer Concert, with its weaving of musical magic, went ahead as planned last week.  Everyone involved, pupils and staff, worked hard to ensure that each person’s work blended seamlessly with their colleagues’…

The year of sport celebrated. The St Augustine’s Priory Sports Awards Evening on 30th June was a splendidly virtual affair.  Although we were not able to be all together celebrating the year of sport at St Augustine’s Priory, we were able to watch the awards via the triumph of modern technology. Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
