Year 5 Science Fair

Congratulations to Year 5 for hosting a truly fantastic Science Fair. Over the past term, the girls have shown remarkable curiosity, creativity, and dedication as they worked on a wide range of exciting scientific projects. Their investigations covered an impressive variety of topics, from hands-on experiments such as “Which type of egg becomes the bounciest after being soaked in vinegar?” to big-picture questions like “Which planets experience extreme weather, and what causes it?” Throughout the process, they demonstrated excellent scientific thinking, carefully planning their investigations, making predictions, and reflecting on their results.

The Science Fair itself was a wonderful showcase of their hard work. The girls presented their findings on eye-catching and thoughtfully designed display boards in the Junior Science Laboratory, creating a vibrant and engaging exhibition. They spoke confidently and enthusiastically about their work, explaining their methods and conclusions with clarity and pride to Sixth Form students, Prep pupils, and parents who attended.

Visitors were full of praise for the high standard of work on display, commenting on the girls’ impressive depth of knowledge, creativity, and ability to explain complex ideas. Their enthusiasm for science was evident throughout, making the event both inspiring and enjoyable.
