Meeting Members of Staff…

Miss Lucy Honeyman has joined St Augustine’s Priory as our new Nursery Teacher who will welcome our youngest pupils to a world of fun and excitement and be instrumental in setting their steps upon a lifelong journey of learning.  Here, we are pleased to share Miss Honeyman’s introduction:

‘I would love to take this opportunity to introduce myself! I grew up locally and as a child attended a few of the independent schools in the Ealing area. St Augustine’s Priory is a school I’ve always felt connected to, meaning I am extra delighted to be offered the position of Pre-Prep teacher.

I studied Primary Education (BA Hons) at Nottingham Trent University going on to specialise in Early Years Education. Following that I completed my NQT year in a primary school in Shepherd’s Bush where I was the nursery classroom teacher for three years.

As a practising Catholic I am involved in a charity called HCPT. For those who may not be familiar with this charity we take groups of disabled and disadvantaged children and adults on an annual pilgrimage holiday to Lourdes in France. I have been travelling to Lourdes for over six years now and it is always a truly rewarding experience.

My special interests include reading and drama – I love to bring stories alive for children and think it is important to foster a real love of reading and books from an early age. I cannot wait to share my fabulous collection of stories with the children in the pre-prep class!’

Miss Honeyman is sure to enjoy the world of the Nursery at St Augustine’s Priory and we welcome her to our school and community.

Strengthening Our Community: The Return of Boys to our Preps and Pre-Preps

We are excited to share that, from September 2026, boys will begin moving up from our Nursery into Reception, marking the gradual reintroduction of boys into our Prep and Pre-Prep School.

This step reflects growing interest from families who value our strong holistic ethos and unique grounds and setting and would like their sons and daughters to share their educational journey together.

At St Augustine’s, our strong sense of community, academic excellence, and deep care for each individual child remain at the heart of everything we do. This is a natural evolution of our school rather than a change to who we are, building on our strengths and allowing us to offer the same joyful, inspiring education to even more children.
